Topeka, Kan. - SBU women's swimming capped off a three day competition at the KC Cup Invite Thursday through Saturday. The Bearcats capped off the weekend taking 5th place with 433 points. 
 
Freshman Briley Larcom highlighted the event with two top four finishes, both coming in the same style of swimming. First in the Friday finals, she took 4th place in the 100-yard backstroke dropping half a second off her entry time. In that same style of race in the Saturday finals, Larcom took 3rd in the 200-yard backstroke, dropping 2.79 seconds off her listed time.
 
Larcom contributed to some of the top relay teams over the weekend as well. In the 200-yard free relay, the 'A' team took 5th place consisting of Kamryn Cooper, Larcom, Grace Simon, and Adilyn Henderson. Later in that day, the 400-yard medley relay comprised of Larcom, Katherine Fields, Kamryn Cooper, and Grace Simon had another 5th place finish.
 
The team will resume action in two weeks as they head down to Drury University for another meet. This will take place on Friday, December 5th in Springfield against both Drury and William Jewell.
