Bearcats Seek Big Accolades at Season Finale

11/13/2025 1:20:00 PM

Bolivar, Mo. - SBU football hits the road for one final game of the 2025 campaign this Saturday. They will head to Quincy University for the 13th all-time meeting between the two programs. The Bearcats lead with seven wins to five and hope to make it number eight with a kickoff at 1:00pm.

The Hawks of Quincy currently sit one game ahead of the Bearcats in the conference standings at 3-4. They collected wins over Lincoln, William Jewell, and a one-point win over Missouri S&T. With the Bearcats only falling to the Miners by two points on a last second field goal, this should pose to be a tightly contested match.

Statistically, the two teams are still even as the Bearcats lead on the offensive side of the ball averaging five more points per game than the Hawks. Though, Quincy is better defensively allowing six fewer points per game than SBU. Behind the leadership of Jaron Saunders, SBU's passing is 3rd in the GLVC which will go up against the 4th best passing defense in the GLVC of Quincy.

This weekend, numerous Bearcats could hit big accolades as they conclude their 2025 season. Senior wide receiver Kamau Ransom could become the first GLVC receiver to earn the triple crown award since 2018 as head leads in receptions and receiving yards and is tied for 1st in receiving touchdowns. If he remains tied for 1st, he would still earn the triple crown. Ransom could also tie the SBU single season touchdown record with two more and break the record with three. Redshirt sophomore Caleb Saner has had an impressive year with 18.0 tackles for loss, only needing 2.5 to break the SBU single season record. Junior Ricky Woodhouse hit 100 tackles this past weekend leading all GLVC members and is 5th in the Nation.
