Bolivar, Mo. — Last weekend, Southwest Baptist University women's volleyball team took a road trip through Kansas City to compete against William Jewell College and Rockhurst University.
SBU battled back and forth with the William Jewell Cardinals during Friday's five-set game but ultimately secured the victory and SBU's first GLVC win of the season. Gabriella Dupree,
Julia Marinesi,
Katie Pogue, and
Rory Stanley led the team in blocks and kills. Saturday's matchup against the Hawks did not go the Bearcats way.
Now they return from Kansas City to Bolivar for a highly anticipated home match. This game features rival Drury University Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m, in the Meyer Wellness Center. These two teams have always battled tough with SBU taking two out of the last three matches.
