Romeoville, Ill. - SBU women's soccer finished their long road trip Sunday afternoon against Lewis University. The Bearcats fell in the game 1-2 moving to 3-7-1 (1-5-1 GLVC) on the season.

Early into the game freshman
Addi Shuler had two attempts at the goal that were stopped by the Flyers goalkeeper. Not too long after that, Lewis was the first team on the board with a stellar shot from outside the 18 into the top right corner of the net. The first have ended with the Bearcats down 0-1.
Â
The game seemed bleak for Southwest Baptist after the Flyers fired another well aimed shot to the back of the Bearcat net shortly into the second half. That didn't stop the Bearcats from going all out as they put the pressure back on the Flyers until the 80th minute when senior
Tamerra Gantt scored her 7th goal of the season. This is a single season record for Gantt and she has now tied the most goals by a Bearcat in a season since 2018, still with seven games to play.
Â
Bearcats will now return home this coming Friday as they host Upper Iowa University. The game will take place at 4:00pm at the SBU soccer field.Â
