Indianapolis, Ind– Southwest Baptist men's soccer fell on the road Friday night, dropping a 0-2 decision against a talented University of Indianapolis squad. With the result against the Nationally recognized Greyhounds, Southwest Baptist drops to
4-6-0 (1-5-0 GLVC),
After a scoreless first half, the Greyhounds broke through just 51 seconds into the second period. Alvaro Sanchez netted his sixth goal of the year off an assist from Sam Siegel to put UIndy on top 0-1. In the 55th minute, Nikolas Karnesis added insurance, finishing a setup from August Abrahamsen to double the Greyhound advantage.
The Bearcats worked to respond, testing UIndy goalkeeper Keerti Unnamatla with five shots on target, but were unable to find the back of the net. SBU keeper Jan-Henry Schafer recorded two saves.
