Fayetteville, Ark. - The Southwest Baptist University's men's cross-country team competed in the Men McDonnell Memorial 8k at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas on Saturday morning. They placed 27th in their last race before the GLVC Championships.
 
The runners in purple were led by the brothers Duchscherer, with younger brother Landon Duchscherer leading the Bearcats in 108th place out of 285 runners. He finished with a time of 26:00.6. The elder brother, senior Gavin Duchscherer, finished less than half a second behind with a time of 26:01.0 placing 110th. The scoring five for the Bearcats was rounded out with junior Nolan Hansen, senior Luke Urban, and junior Jackson Leeds. They placed 128th, 132nd, and 162nd, respectively.
 
SBU will enjoy a three-week break before returning to action on Saturday, October 25 in Romeoville, Illinois at the GLVC Championships.
