Bolivar, Mo. — After a tough loss at home in last week's conference showdown with Rockhurst, SBU Women's soccer is looking to regroup and refocus to finish out the season. The Bearcats are hoping to close out this year with a win against Drury this Friday at 4:00, as well as against Missouri S&T the subsequent Sunday at 12:00.
This past Friday SBU fell in a close game to Rockhurst 2-0 at home. The Bearcats held the Hawks to zero goals over 75. Within the next two minutes the Hawks scored two straight and finished out the game with that score. The game was highlighted by six saves over the course of the game from Sophomore
Cece Alexander.
Now they head into their final weekend as they face two Great Lakes Valley Conference opponents this weekend. As the underdogs, the Bearcats are looking to upset both the Drury Panthers, and the Missouri S&T Miners. On Sunday, the Bearcats will honor
Jadyn Clark,
Alyssa Villavicencio,
Sam Short,
Tamerra Gantt,
Maleah Hermann,
Holly Schneider, and
Emilee Gorrell for senior day. This ceremony will take place following their match and the men's senior day presentation at approximately 2:15 p.m.
