Bolivar, Mo.- The Lady Bearcats are ready to return home after being on the road this past weekend. Which included a 2–4 loss against Truman State University and a 1–1 tie against William Jewell College. With just one game on the schedule this week, the Bearcats have been able to be more intentional during practice as they prepare to defend their home turf.
- Southwest Baptist University vs.Rockhurst University, Friday, October 24th at 4:00 PM on the SBU soccer field
Rockhurst enters this game as the 7th seed in the conference standings with a 5-3-2 GLVC record. In last year's matchup, the Bearcats fell 0–2 to Rockhurst but still had standout performances across the field. Goalkeeper
Cece Alexander, now a sophomore, recorded a season-high 14 saves in that game, contributing to her 90 saves on the year.
One of the highlight players for this year has been senior forward
Tamerra Gantt, starting in all 15 games played. She leads the team in goals (7) and assists (3) for 17 total points on the year. Gantt is 6th in the GLVC with total points and 7th in total goals scored. The next top two goal scorers for the Bearcats are both freshmen in
Lydia Fickle and
Addi Shuler each with three.
