Liberty, Mo. — Southwest Baptist University's women's swim team competed against William Jewell College today in Liberty, Mo. for SBU's second meet of the season, earning the second event win of SBU swimming history.
 
After several hours of competition, the Bearcats earned multiple top three finishes. Freshmen Grace Simon, Briley Larcom, and Kamryn Cooper were among those who put forward impressive swims in their relays and individual events.
 
Simon earned the first ever event win of SBU women swimming as she placed first in the 400 Meter Free with a time of 4:44.29. Larcom earned a notable second place finish in the 100 Meter Back (1:10.71), and Cooper placed third in the 50 Meter Free (0:28.83).
 
SBU's swimmers secured entry times for their relays and individual events, giving them goals to push themselves as a team as they navigate their inaugural season.
 
The Bearcats return to Bolivar to continue improving upon their times before they travel to Saint Louis, Mo. on Saturday, November 1 for their matchup against Saint Louis University and Rockhurst University.
