Bearcats Open 2025 at Rust Buster With One National Mark

Topeka, KS. – The women's track and field team broke off the rust Friday at the Washburn Rust Buster.
 
Collinique Farrington highlighted the day by hitting her second National qualifying mark of the season. This time came in the 200-meter dash, winning the race with a time of 24.06, currently 3rd in the Nation. She also took 3rd in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.65.
 
Another strong finish came from freshman Kaily Wake taking 3rd in the high jump. In that same event, freshman Taylor Green took 6th place. Paige Franks ran the fastest 800-meter on the team taking 4th with a time 2:24.55. Rounding out the top results was freshman Jaynae Pinder taking 5th place in the 60-meter hurdles.
 
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, January 24th at both the Pittsburg State University Rumble in the Jungle and the UCM Invite.
