Topeka, KS. – The women's track and field team broke off the rust Friday at the Washburn Rust Buster.
Collinique Farrington highlighted the day by hitting her second National qualifying mark of the season. This time came in the 200-meter dash, winning the race with a time of 24.06, currently 3
rd in the Nation. She also took 3
rd in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.65.
Another strong finish came from freshman
Kaily Wake taking 3
rd in the high jump. In that same event, freshman
Taylor Green took 6
th place.
Paige Franks ran the fastest 800-meter on the team taking 4
th with a time 2:24.55. Rounding out the top results was freshman
Jaynae Pinder taking 5
th place in the 60-meter hurdles.
The Bearcats will be back in action on Friday, January 24
th at both the Pittsburg State University Rumble in the Jungle and the UCM Invite.
