Wichita, Kan. - This Saturday, the SBU Men's soccer team kicked off their season to face Newman University on the road. The game ended in a 0-4 loss for the Bearcats, moving their record to 0-1.
 
Junior Goalkeeper Dawson Sozio played a full 90 minutes for the Bearcats, making a total of 8 saves against the Jets' aggressive offense. SBU had 3 main scoring opportunities, with shots on goal by Alex Marealle, Vincent Rotich, and Alejandro Torres.
 
The Bearcats will return to action on Monday, September 9th as they travel down south to Evangel University. The game will take place in Springfield, Missouri at Coryell Field with a kickoff scheduled for 6pm.
