Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's cross-country team began their season Friday night as they raced on their home course in the Bearcat Invitational. The team finished in 5
th place out of 10 teams.
Senior
Trevor Maxville led all Bearcats finishing in 21
st place with a time of 21:02.30. Shortly behind him was freshman
Landon Duchscherer who finished in 22
nd place just two seconds behind. Landon's older brother Gavin wasn't far behind finishing in 27
th place with a time 21:15.56. The other two Bearcats to score for the men's team were
Nolan Hansen and
Collins Kiplagat who finished in 41
st and 42
nd place respectively.
Southwest Baptist will be back in action next Friday, September 13
th as they compete in the Springfield Twilight. This event hosted by Drury University, takes place in Springfield, Missouri at the Betty and Bobby Allison Sports Town.
