Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's cross-country team began their season Friday night as they raced on their home course in the Bearcat Invitational. The team finished in 5^th place out of 10 teams.
 
Senior Trevor Maxville led all Bearcats finishing in 21^st place with a time of 21:02.30. Shortly behind him was freshman Landon Duchscherer who finished in 22^nd place just two seconds behind. Landon's older brother Gavin wasn't far behind finishing in 27^th place with a time 21:15.56. The other two Bearcats to score for the men's team were Nolan Hansen and Collins Kiplagat who finished in 41^st and 42^nd place respectively.
 
Southwest Baptist will be back in action next Friday, September 13^th as they compete in the Springfield Twilight. This event hosted by Drury University, takes place in Springfield, Missouri at the Betty and Bobby Allison Sports Town.
