Fayetteville, Ark. – The SBU men's cross-country team competed in the Chile Pepper XC Festival Saturday morning in Arkansas. Competing against numerous Division I teams the Bearcats finished in 21^st place out of 25 total teams.
 
Leading the way for Southwest Baptist was Collins Kiplagat who finished in 126^th place out of 273 total runners with a time of 26:11.9 Shortly behind him was junior Gavin Duchscherer who finished in 130^th place with a time of 26:16.4. A little further down the finishes was senior Trevor Maxville and sophomore Nolan Hansen in 168^th and 175^th place respectively. Rounding out the scoring for the Bearcats was junior Luke Urban finishing in 190^th place.
 
Southwest Baptist will take a week off before competing in the Mizzou invite in Columbia, Missouri. The meet will take place on Saturday, October 12^th at Gans Creek Park
