Men’s Soccer Falls in Physical Match Against Lincoln

Bolivar, Mo - This Sunday, the SBU Men's soccer team faced Lincoln University to continue in conference play. After a 0-5 loss, the Bearcats moved to 2-2-3 on the season and 1-1-1 in the GLVC.

The game was a physical match-up, with a total of 28 fouls recorded between both teams. Junior goalkeeper Marco Iñiguez recorded a season high in both shots faced (25), and saves (7). SBU had a few scoring opportunities, with shots by Victor Valero, Iker Lorenzo, Roland Ngoy, and Sibusiso Mokoena. 

The Bearcats will return to action on Friday, September 27th as they face the University of Illinois Springfield. The game will take place in Springfield, Illinois at Kiwanis Stadium with a kickoff scheduled for 7:30 pm.
