Springfield, Mo. – The SBU men's cross-country team continued their season Friday evening as they traveled 30 minutes south to compete in the Allison Sports Town Invitational. It was a small meet with only five teams competing, Bearcats finishing in 2^nd place only behind the Drury Panthers.
 
The top Four Bearcats finished within five spots and 20 seconds of each other. Sophomore Jackson Leeds led the pack finishing in 9^th place with a time of 26:20.70. Right behind him was senior Trevor Maxville, who finished in 10^th place. Following those two were Collins Kiplagat and Gavin Duchscherer who finished in 12^th and 13^th place respectively. Finishing the point total for the Bearcats was Nolan Hansen who filed in behind his teammates in 17^th place.
 
The Bearcats will take a week off before heading down to Arkansas to compete in the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival. The race will take place on Saturday, September 28^th at 10:30am at Agri Park.
