Springfield, Mo. – The SBU men's cross-country team continued their season Friday evening as they traveled 30 minutes south to compete in the Allison Sports Town Invitational. It was a small meet with only five teams competing, Bearcats finishing in 2
nd place only behind the Drury Panthers.
The top Four Bearcats finished within five spots and 20 seconds of each other. Sophomore
Jackson Leeds led the pack finishing in 9
th place with a time of 26:20.70. Right behind him was senior
Trevor Maxville, who finished in 10
th place. Following those two were
Collins Kiplagat and
Gavin Duchscherer who finished in 12
th and 13
th place respectively. Finishing the point total for the Bearcats was
Nolan Hansen who filed in behind his teammates in 17
th place.
The Bearcats will take a week off before heading down to Arkansas to compete in the Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival. The race will take place on Saturday, September 28
th at 10:30am at Agri Park.
