Rock Hill, S.C. – SBU women's basketball head coach Wyketha Harrell is selected to participate in the NCAA College Basketball Academy. This event takes place on July 27^th-29^th in Rock Hill, South Carolina. Harrell is one of the few coaches across Division II, Division II, NAIA, and junior college to be selected for this opportunity.
 
"Being selected to be a part of the CBA 2024 is an honor. Throughout my career as a coach I continually seek and welcome opportunities to not only grow our game but to grow in our game and I am fortunate to have been selected. I'm really excited and looking forward to this experience." -Harrell said.
 
The NCAA College basketball Academy is a developmental summer basketball academy conducted by the NCAA that is invitation-only for women's prospective student-athletes. There will be up to 225 prospective athletes selected to attend this event. Coaches will manage and lead a team of up to nine players for the duration of the academy. They are expected to lead and coach their team on the court in games and attend any off-the-court activities, such as life skills sessions.
 
The coaches selected for this academy were all nominated by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) comprised of coaches across all levels of women's basketball. Each coach selected for the academy mush obtain a USA Basketball Gold License.
