Lebanon, Ill. – The SBU softball team wrapped up their season Saturday afternoon at McKendree University. Southwest Baptist fell in both games finishing the year 19-31 (8-18 GLVC). The teams' 19 wins is the most by the softball program since 2017.
Freshman Bearcat
Angelina Micone set a new SBU single season record by finishing the season with a .432 batting average. This batting average was 2
nd in the GLVC, leading all freshman in the conference. She also beat the single season record in on-base percentage with .468, but is second due to teammate
Margo Frossard beating her out with a .471 OBP.
SBU lost to McKendree in game one 2-7, as both
Chloee Sams and
Alyssa Reed snagged RBI's. In game 2, SBU fell 3-7 as Micone recorded two hits and led the team with two RBI's.
