Box Score Quincy, Ill. – The SBU men's tennis team finished their regular season Friday afternoon as they defeated the Quincy Hawks. The Bearcats ended conference play with a GLVC record of 3-1 and a 7-12 overall record after winning 4-1 against Quincy.
The Bearcats won the doubles point after clinching wins in the #2 and #3 spot, with
Alejandro Bravo Diaz and
Bojan Radoman sweeping their opponents 6-0.
Alejandro Beneyto Sanchez and
Pedro Pinto also won their match together 6-2.
Beneyto Sanchez continued to dominate at the #2 spot winning 6-1 and 6-0, giving SBU their second point. Radoman also won in his singles match at the #3 spot 6-2 in both sets. It was Pinto who clinched the match for Southwest Baptist in the #4 spot winning 6-1 in the third set.
The Men's tennis team will now compete in the GLVC conference tournament next weekend May 3-5. The matches will take place in Springfield, Missouri at the Cooper Tennis Complex.
