Pittsburg, Kan. – The SBU women's track and field team concluded their regular season Saturday as they competed at the PSU Tune-Up.
Collinique Farrington continued her star-studded season as she finished at the top of all the races she competed in. Her best finish was in the 400-meter dash as she took 1
st place with a time of 55.19. That time is good enough for a National mark and 3
rd best in SBU history. She also qualified for the finals of the 100-meter dash, hitting a National mark, but did not race in the finals.
Stephanique Dean also qualified for the finals of the 100-meter dash taking a time of 11.85 in the preliminaries. Dean did not compete in the finals as she ran in the 200-meter dash, later in the day where she took a time of 24.27 good for 4
th place.
Paige Bradley and Lily Simmons each competed in the 100-meter hurdles, taking 3
rd place and 4
th place respectively.
Southwest Baptist will now take a week off before heading to the GLVC championship. This championship will take place at Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri May 2
nd through the 4
th.
