Box Score 2 Quincy, Ill. – The SBU Baseball team were back in action as they continued their series against the Quincy Hawks in a doubleheader matchup today. The Bearcats dropped both games making them 10-31 (7-20 GLVC) on the season.
In game 1, Roberto Garcia started on the mound for SBU as he pitched for a season-high of 5 innings and only allowing 3 hits. SBU struck first at the top of the 4th after Ayden Fetters hit his second homerun of the season for 2 RBIs. The Bearcats lead would be short lived as the Hawks came back to take the first game of the day.
In game 2, Zeke Skinner hit his 32nd career homerun as he made SBU history breaking the career homerun record in just his junior season. This is his 12th home run of the season tying his mark from last season. He is just three from breaking the SBU single season record with nine games remaining.
Southwest Baptist will finish their series against the Quincy Hawks tomorrow in the final game of the series. The first pitch is scheduled for 12:00 PM at QU Stadium.
