Bolivar, Mo.- The SBU Baseball team finished their series against the UMSL Tritons Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats fell to the Tritons 14-7 to make them 10-28 (7-17 GLVC) on the season.
The Bearcats fell behind early against the Tritons but would bounce back in the 5th inning as the Bearcats started to cut the lead down after scoring four runs. SBU continued to add runs on the board in the 7th, as Raydley Legito and Colby Sneed both had a single RBI to make the game closer. Sneed recorded another single RBI to left field in the 8th inning, but it was not enough to catch up to the Tritons. Three different Bearcats recorded two hits on the day including Zeke Skinner, Dean Hagenhoff, and Colby Sneed.
Southwest Baptist will be back on the road next week as they travel to Quincy, IL to face the Quincy University Hawks. The first pitch is scheduled for Friday, April 19th at 5:00 PM at QU Stadium.
