Pittsburg, Kan. – The SBU women's track and field team finished their indoor season this evening after competing in two events at the 2024 NCAA Division II Indoor National Championships. Four total SBU ladies while a host of Bearcats drove down to Gorilla Nation to cheer and support their fellow Bearcat family.
Collinique Farrington capped off an incredible indoor season by taking 5
th place in the 200-meter dash. This is her best career finish and the Bearcats best finish since 2021. She finished 3
rd in her heat with a time of 23.78, her best at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg. Her 5

The Bearcat women's 4x400-meter relay represented the SBU proudly by reaching Nationals for the first time since 2017. This year they finished in 10

th place time. This team comprised of
Brianna Lord,
Madison Hicks,
Laura Dixon,
Collinique Farrington, and
Emily Young won the GLVC championships just two weeks ago. They will look to take their momentum into outdoor seeking another National appearance.
These Bearcats and the rest of the team will begin their outdoor season in just two weeks as they head to Rolla, Missouri for the S&T Invite. This event will take place on Saturday, March 23
rd at the Allgood Bailey Stadium.
