Rolla, Mo. – The SBU men's track and field team began their outdoor season Saturday as they competed at the S&T Invite. The Bearcats had seven top-10 performances on the day.
Parker Love highlighted the day kicking off his outdoor season with a 2
nd place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.69, just .3 seconds off of his personal record.
Troy Davidson had two top-10 finishes, with his top finish coming in the 800-meter run as he took third. His first finish of the day was 7
th in the 1500-meter, where he was just behind fellow teammate Collins Kiplagat who finished in 6
th place.
Brayden Housh comes off his great indoor season starting out with a 4
th place in the pole vault. His mark of 4.30 meters was not far off a personal best. In the 100-meter dash
Makaylin Forbes took 5
th place with a time of 11.02. Not far behind him was fellow teammate
Chase Thomas-Plummer who finished in 10
th with a time of 11.15.
The Bearcats will be back in action next weekend as they will compete at the annual Bearcat Invitational. The meet will take place on Friday and Saturday March 29
th & 30
th in Bolivar, Missouri at Plaster Stadium.
