Box Score St. Joseph, Mo. – The SBU women's tennis team hit the road Thursday afternoon as they took on Missouri Western at their home courts. The Bearcats fell in the match by a final score of 3-4, moving to 2-8 on the season.
 
The Bearcats were unable to collect any doubles matches as they lost the doubles point. In singles, the #2, #3 and #4 spot put up great battles and won the Bearcats three points. Ghada Dirninger at the two spot defeated her opponent 6-2 & 6-3. Then shortly after, Elsa Pascual won at the #3 spot in consistent fashion 6-4 & 6-4. After the match had been clinched by the Griffons, Giselle Garcia won her singles match at the #6 spot 6-4 & 6-3
 
The Southwest Baptist women's tennis team will return to action next week as they travel to Michigan for four matches across three days. They will begin in Big Rapids as they take on Ferris State University. The match will take place on Wednesday March 27^th at 9:00am.
