Ozark, Mo. – The SBU Beach Volleyball team were back in action today as they faced Division 1 Eastern Illinois and Park University. The Bearcats split the day as they beat the Panthers but fell to the Pirates making them 3-6 on the season. 

In game 1 of the day, SBU was able to come out on top as they beat D1 Eastern Illinois 3-2. In the #1 spot, Gabrielle Belcher & Bailey Lasater won in the third set 15-13. Madison Satterly and Reagan Hoerning made a comeback in the #4 spot dropping the first set to win 21-16 and 15-12 in the following two. In the #2 spot, Katie Pogue and Chandler Lawrence outlasted their opponents in the third set 15-10 to give the Bearcats the victory.

In game 2, the Bearcats fell 0-5 to the Pirates of Park University. Belcher & Lasater fell in the third set 12-15 as well as Carlee Lill and Janel Pido also fell in the third set 8-15. 

Southwest Baptist will look to get back on the right track as they head down to Belton, TX next weekend as they start the weekend facing the Texas Wesleyan Rams and then the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Crusaders.
