Box Score Searcy, Ark. – The SBU women's tennis team returned to action today as they traveled to Arkansas to take on the Harding University Bison. The Bearcats fell to the Bison in a close match 3-4. They move to 1-5 on the season.
Paula Ballesteros and
Giselle Garcia won their match in the #2 spot 7-5. But after losing in the #1 spot and withdrawing in the #3 spot, the Bearcats were unable to claim the doubles point.
Ballesteros continued her dominant day as she won in the #1 spot 6-1 and 6-3, claiming the first point for SBU.
Elsa Pascual took down her opponent in the #3 spot in the third set 6-4 for SBU's second point.
Giselle Garcia won the third point for the Bearcats in the #5 spot winning in the third set tiebreaker 10-3.
The Bearcats will return to action Saturday afternoon as they continue the trip in Arkansas to take on Arkansas Fort Smith. The match is scheduled to start at 1:00pm.
