Ozark, Mo. – The SBU beach volleyball team continued their season this morning as they took on two opponents. The Bearcats split the day falling to Division I Missouri State and defeating Oklahoma Wesleyan for the second time this season.
 
In game 1 of the day, the Bearcats fell 0-5 to the Bears of Missouri State. The #1 spot Bailey Lasater and Gabby Belcher came the closest to taking a set off the Bears as they lost 21-23 in set two. At the #2 spot, Chandler Lawrence and Katie Pogue led their opponents in set one for a while until falling 19-21.
 
It was a dominant victory in game two for the Bearcats as they defeated the Eagles 5-0 again. Lasater and Belcher won at the #1 spot 21-15 & 21-14. Lawrence/Pogue won 21-10 & 20-15 at the #2 spot. Madison Satterly & Reagan Hoerning dominated their opponents at the #3 spot, then at the #5 spot Briley Bagley and Rory Stanley only allowed 16 points in their two sets. Dylan Cochran and Ryleigh Fowler had the closest match of the day as they won in the third set 15-7 at the #4 spot.
 
Southwest Baptist will return to action tomorrow to take on two different opponents beginning with Eastern Illinois at 8:00am. Then at 10am they will battle Park University, all at Volleyball Beach Ozark.
