Box Score Edmond, Okla. – The SBU women's tennis team began their 2024 season today as they traveled to take on Central Oklahoma. The Bearcats fell to the Bronchos by a final score of 1-6, moving them to 1-6.
 
Sophomore Paula Ballesteros started the season off strong by winning in the #1 spot. She defeated her opponent 6-2, 6-4 claiming the sole point for the Bearcats in the match. Ghada Dirninger was the only other Bearcat to take a set off another opponent as she won 6-2 in set 1 of the #2 spot.
 
The Bearcats will look to bounce back tomorrow as they stay in Oklahoma to take on Northeastern State. The match is scheduled to start at 9:00am.
