Box Score Arkadelphia, Ark. – The SBU men's tennis team opened their 2024 campaign this evening against 25^th ranked Ouachita Baptist Tigers. The Bearcats fell by a final score of 1-6, moving to 0-1 on the season.
 
Despite Youssef Nabil and Ilyes Khelifi winning in the #1 spot 6-4, the Bearcats fell in the #2 and #3 spot losing the doubles point. Freshman Pedro Pinto was the only Bearcat to win a point for the team as he took down the #5 spot. He won the first set 7-6 (7-5), then bounced back after a second set loss to clinch the point in the third set 10-8.
 
Southwest Baptist will return to the court Sunday afternoon as they play Delta State University. First serve is scheduled for 11:00am.
