Pittsburg, Kan. – The SBU men's track and field team began their season Saturday at the Crimson and Gold Invitational.
Freshman
Marcus Jones highlighted the day for the Bearcats finishing in 5
th place in the 400-meter dash. His time of 48.89 seconds was only .4 seconds away from a National qualifying mark. Another solid finish was sophomore
Kaleb Nail who took 15
th in the 800-meter run with a time of 1:57.75.
Brayden Housh finished day two of the heptathlon in 8
th place. He had top finishes in 1000-meter at 5
th place and pole vault in 6
th place.
The Bearcats will take the next few weeks off for Christmas break before competing at the Washburn Rust Buster on Friday, January 17
th.
