Bolivar, Mo. – SBU Director of Athletics, Clark Sheehy, announces Bob Lopez as the new Manager of Athletic Facilities at Southwest Baptist. Lopez offers numerous years of administrative experience across the country including many at the Division I level.
 
He has spent time as a sport administrator for the University of Michigan and University of Deleware. Lopez was also an Athletic Director at Fort Scott Community college.
 
"We are so excited that Bob has joined our team with SBU Athletics.  He brings great experience and will be a great addition to our department and our university.  It's a great day to be a Bearcat!!" – Sheehy said.
 
He has many years of football experience including at the University of Michigan as the Assistant Athletic Director for Football and the sport administrator. He continues his football experience as the Director of Football Operations for Vanderbilt, San Diego State, and UCLA. He was the head football coach at Fort Scott Community College and assistant at Northern Arizona, Arizona Western, and Loyola Academy.
 
Other collegiate experience that Lopez brings to Southwest Baptist is time in the admissions department at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire, Peru State, and Northern Arizona. He graduated from Illinois State University with a Master of Science in Educational Administration and Bachelor of Science in Health & Physical Education.
