Rolla, Mo. - This Friday afternoon, the SBU Women's Soccer team fell 2-5 to Missouri S&T. The Bearcats are now 2-11-3 overall, 2-9-2 in conference.
SBU dominated the first 45 minutes, putting up 2 on the board in the duration of the half. The first goal was scored by sophomore Annabelle Shuler, putting the ball in the net after a breakaway and deflection by the Miner's keeper. This makes for Shuler's 4th goal this fall, tying junior Tamerra Gantt as the leading goal scorer for the 2024 season.Â
Freshman forward Katelynn Young put another in the net for SBU, scoring her first collegiate goal in the 27th minute. The goal was assisted by Senior Kylie Murie.
The Miners came back to score 5 in the second half, ending the conference matchup with a score of 5-2.Â
The Bearcats will close out their season on Sunday, November 3rd as they travel to Drury University. The game will take place in Springfield, MO at Curry Sports Complex with a kickoff scheduled for 12pm.
