Rademaker Breaks SBU Single Season Kills Record in Bearcat Season Finale

Lebanon, Ill. – The SBU women's volleyball team completed their season Saturday afternoon as they fell to McKendree University in four sets. They ended their season going 14-16 (4-9 GLVC) on the season. SBU battled through the whole game picking up a set two win and were one point away from a set three win.  
 
Junior Ella Rademaker has been setting records since she was just a freshman and continued to etch her name in SBU history by breaking the SBU single season kills record with 465. This was nine more than the previous record which has been held since 2005. She also set a new kills per set record with 3.94, held by the same person in 2005. Career wise, she is sitting at 1,047 which is second in SBU record books. Only 110 from the #1 spot in the career kills category.
 
Senior Janel Pido ended her SBU career playing in 385 sets, the most sets played by a Bearcat since 2018. She also had 123 serving aces in her career which is 3rd best in SBU history. Another Bearcat four-year senior was setter Julia Becker. She appeared in 127 sets in her career recording 444 assists. The third senior to end their career today was Sydney McNeill recording 401 kills in two years as a Bearcat scoring 481 points. The last senior finishing her time at SBU was #22 Carlee Lill. She also spent two years as a Bearcat recording 1.73 kills per set along with 21 total blocks.
