BEARCAT HIGHLIGHTS
Â
Women's Volleyball
The Bearcats got a big win over the Prairie Stars this past Saturday defeating a GLVC top-6 team in five sets. That win kept the Bearcats in contention for a GLVC tournament spot with five games to go. As a team, the Bearcats are ranked 1
st in the Nation in team kills with 1,294 on the season. This is largely due to junior
Ella Rademaker who ranks 4
th in the Nation in total kills with 382 on the season, the most in her career with five games still to play.
Â
Football
Junior
Levi Korir won his first GLVC Defensive Player of the Week award and the teams' first since 2021. He recorded two interceptions in the game against Jewell, the first Bearcat to do so since 2017. As well,
Jordan Kent was just shy of collection offensive player of the week after recording 220 receiving yards against Jewell, second most in SBU history.
Â

Freshman goalkeeper
Cece Alexander has had one of the best seasons by any freshman goalkeeper in SBU history. This past weekend she recorded a season high 14 saves against Rockhurst keeping the Bearcats in the game. She now has 90 saves on the season and ranks 7
th in the Nation in saves per game.
