Springfield, Ill. – The SBU men's cross-country team took 7^th place in the GLVC Championships Saturday morning with 199 points.
 
Two Bearcats were neck and neck with each other through the finish line with only .6 seconds separating the two. Sophomore Collins Kiplagat just outlast his teammate Jackson Leeds taking 35^th place with a time of 25:24.17. Leeds was second for SBU taking 36^th place. The next Bearcats to earn points was senior Trevor Maxville as he took 55^th place with a time of 25:52.09. Rounding out the points in the Bearcat top-5 were the brothers of Landon Duchscherer and Gavin Duchscherer each took 73^rd and 75^th points respectively.
 
The Bearcats will look to extend their postseason journey as they compete at the Midwest regionals in two weeks. This will take place on Saturday, November 9^th at the host campus of Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois.
