Columbia, Mo. – The SBU men's cross-country team concluded their regular season Saturday morning as they competed at the Brian T. Simpson Invite. Competing against numerous GLVC teams the Bearcat finished the race in 7^th place with 230 points, beating McKendree and Rockhurst from the GLVC.  
 
For the second straight meet sophomore Collins Kiplagat led all Bearcats as he finished in 29^th place. He beat his previous time by running an 8k in 26:02.61, nine seconds faster than two weeks ago. About 30 seconds behind Kiplagat was junior Luke Urban who finished in 51^st place with a time of 26:34.62. Finishing back-to-back and only three seconds apart were Jack Leeds and Trevor Maxville in 61^st and 62^nd place respectively. The final points for the Bearcats came from sophomore Nolan Hansen running across the line in 86^th place.
 
The next competition for the Bearcats will be the GLVC Championships, to take place two weeks from today. This years' championship race will be in Springfield, Illinois at the UIS Cross Country Course. The men's 8,000-meter run is set to begin at 9:30am. The meet will be streamed on the GLVC Sports Network (GLVCSN).
