Box Score Lebanon, Ill. – The SBU football team continued their season Saturday afternoon as they traveled to McKendree University for battle of the Bearcats. Southwest Baptist fell in the game 14-37 moving 2-4 (1-3 GLVC) on the season.
The Bearcats recorded their first touchdown of the game with a 15-yard touchdown pass from
Sal Caldarella to
Jordan Kent. Kent recorded his 5
th receiving TD of the season and the 25
th of his career, now sitting in 4
th place in SBU All-time. Caldarella continued to cut into the lead in the 4
th quarter with a 44-yard touchdown pass to Reagan Wilson.
Ricky Woodhouse led all Bearcats in tackles with nine, all being solo tackles.
Kaliel Boyd was not far behind him with eight total tackles.
Caleb Saner added along five tackles to go with his one tackle for loss of 10 yards.
Southwest Baptist will now take a week off before returning home on October 26
th. They will host the William Jewell Cardinals at 1:00pm on alumni day at Plaster Stadium.
