Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team returned to conference play today as they hosted the William Jewell Cardinals in the Meyer Center. Stellar 3-point shooting from the Cardinals propelled them past the Bearcats as SBU fell 74-89. They move to 5-7 (1-3 GLVC) on the season.

Drew McMillin led in scoring for the Bearcats for the second game in a row, recording 16 points of 70% shooting.
David Hector and
Drenin Dinkins each scored double digits with 13 points. Hector recorded team highs in rebounds (7), assists (4), and steals (4).
Southwest Baptist will return to action on Saturday as they travel to Illinois. They will take on the Hawks of Quincy University with a scheduled tipoff of 3:00pm.
