Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU men's basketball team looked to even the series against the Quincy Hawks this afternoon at home. The Bearcats started out slow but fought back in the second half, taking the lead and holding it for a 65-62 win. That moves them to 6-13 (2-9 GLVC) on the season.
Redshirt sophomore Noah Franklin scored a season-high tonight of 16 points going 6-11 from the field. He was dominant on the boards for the Bearcats leading the team with seven rebounds, pulling down four offensive boards. Drenin Dinkins led the team in scoring again notching 18 total points going 3-4 from beyond the arc. Two other Bearcats scored in double digits as Drew McMillin had his 13th 10+ point game of the year with 10 today. David Hector also had 12 points in the game to go along with his four rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
The Bearcats will take an extended break before they host their rivals of Drury University next Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats will look to sweep the Panthers on the season and extend their three-game win streak against them. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00pm in the Meyer Wellness Center.
