Game Recap: Women's Soccer | | David Sanchez, Media Relations GA

Rushing Makes Career-High in Saves in Loss to Miners

Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU Women's Soccer team traveled to Rolla, Mo. to play the Missouri S&T Miners. The Bearcats would fall to the Miners, 0-3, making their record 2-5-1 (0-3 GLVC) on the season.

The Bearcats were able to keep the game close in the first half as sophomore Cassandra Rushing would start in goal for the Bearcats. Rushing would also end up securing a career-high in saves with 8 against the Miners. Unfortunately, it would not be enough to keep the Miners from finding the back of the net 2 more times in the second half.

Southwest Baptist will be back in action on Sunday as they travel to play Maryville University. The game will be at the Maryville Soccer Field in St. Louis, Mo. at 12:00 PM.
