Indianapolis, Ind. - The SBU men's cross-country team was picked to finish 5th in the GLVC (Great Lakes Valley Conference) preseason poll, as announced by the conference office this morning. They earned 101 total points in the poll, just 4 points behind their rival Drury University. The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
The Bearcats return with one of the biggest teams they have ever had with over 27 athletes. They have 15 returners and 12 freshmen giving them talent across the board. The men's cross-country team returned two of their top five finishers at last year's GLVC championship, with both finishing in the top-30. Those two include Joe Kremp and Evan Smith.
