Romeoville, Ill. – The SBU baseball team battled the Lewis Flyers in a four game GLVC series this past weekend. The Bearcats fell in all four games moving to 8-38 (4-24 GLVC) on the season.
 
All four games were played across two days, each day having a doubleheader. The Bearcats bats struggled on day one but came alive on day two scoring 21 total runs. Tremayne Mungin had a fantastic day recording six RBIs off four hits with a homer and two doubles. Mungin's 11^th homerun of the season ties him for 6^th on the SBU single season record list. Eight other Bearcats also recorded RBIs on the second day of the series.
 
Southwest Baptist will return to action this weekend for their final regular season series. They will travel up North to Liberty, Missouri to take on the William Jewell Cardinals. The series is scheduled to begin on Friday at 5:00 PM, then continue with a doubleheader on Saturday, and finish with a single game on Sunday.
