Rolla, Mo. – The SBU men's track and field team competed at the Missouri S&T Quadrangular yesterday. The Bearcats had many strong performances to prepare for one final meet before conference championship.
 
Freshman Gavin Duchsherer kicked off the meet with a 1^st place finish in the 3000-meter steeplechase. Sophomore Gage McElhaney took 1^st place in the men's javelin with a mark of 54.96-meters. Sophomore Makaylin Forbes took 1^st in the 400-meter dash with a time of 52.14 seconds. Brayden Housh took 2^nd in the men's pole vault and Joe Kremp took 4^th in the 1,500-meter run.
 
The team will take a weekend off then compete at the GLVC championships. This year's meet will take place May 4^th-6^th at Missouri S&T.
