Pittsburg, Kan. - The SBU women's track and field team competed at the Gorilla Classic Friday and Saturday afternoon at Pitt St.
The Bearcat ladies distance medley relay team competed for their first time this season and hit a National qualifying mark. Their time of 11:52.06 was good enough for fourth place at this meet. The team was comprised of
Alexis Barber,
Madison Hicks,
Lainy Williams, and
Tessa Valdivia.
Freshman
Stephanique Dean had a 10
th place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.95. Senior
Lainy Williams hit her third straight National mark in the 800-meter run. Despite her time being a second slower than her previous, she still placed 7
th at this meet.
The Bearcats will return for one final meet before conference as they travel to Arkansas University for the Arkansas Qualifier.
