Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU women's basketball team had their conference home opener this evening against Rockhurst University. The Bearcats dominated the Hawks trailing only in the first minute of the game, as they came out on top 71-50. They collect their first conference win of the season moving to 4-5 (1-3 GLVC) on the season.
Senior
Kallyn Stumbo dominated the stat sheet with a career high 15 rebounds, 8 points, 7 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block. On the week she now has 13 total assists and only 2 turnovers for a 6.5 assist to turnover ratio. Junior
Bianca Oliver had an impressive game scoring a career high 14 points off a perfect 7-7 from the field. She also pulled down five rebounds and dished out three assists.

Tori Hamilton each scored in double figures with 12, 12, and 10 points respectively. The Bearcats controlled the glass out rebounding the Hawks 50-32 and pulling down 22 offensive rebounds. It was the SBU defense and out hustle that led Southwest Baptist to the large victory.
The Bearcats will take their two-game win streak into Saturday's matchup against rival and #12 ranked Drury University. They will travel down Highway 13 to battle the Panthers in the O'Reilly Family Event Center with a schedule tipoff of 1:00pm.
