Bolivar, Mo. – Two SBU volleyball players were selected to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District list. Senior Loran Pritchett and sophomore Bailey Lasater each hit the qualifications of a minimum cumulative 3.5 GPA and participating in 90% of the teams' matches.
 
The 2023 Academic All-District® Volleyball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom.
 
Pritchett started in nearly every game this season as a Bearcat and has had a cumulative GPA of 4.0 all throughout her collegiate career. She was second on the team in kills with 324 and led the team in aces. Pritchett is the best all-around player in SBU history as across her career she has recorded 786 kills, 812 digs, 1,351 assists, 110 aces, and 165 blocks. Pritchett is eligible to earn a CSC Academic All-American award which will be voted on by CSC members and released on January 9^th.
 
The other Bearcat to make the Academic All-District list was sophomore Bailey Lasater who also had an incredible season starting in nearly every game. She has a cumulative GPA of 3.68 and led the team in assists with 604, was second in aces with 32, and second in digs with 251. This season she reached a career number of 1,000 total assists.
