Evansville, Ind. – The SBU women's cross country team completed their season today at the Midwest Regionals. The race took place in Evansville, Indiana at Angel Mounds. The Bearcats finished in 10
th place out of all regional teams and 3
rd in the GLVC with 308 total points.
Southwest Baptist was led by senior Tessa Valdiva who finished in 48
th place with a time of 21.45. Right behind her was senior Lainy Williams who finished in 54
th place just four seconds behind. Senior Alexis Barber also finished her last cross country race in 67
th place. Rounding out the scoring was Freshman Kiersten Potter in 69
th and junior Olivia Littleton in 77
th.
SBU cross country women finish their season with three top-3 finishes. They started out the season in 2
nd place at the Bearcat invite then took 2
nd again at the Brian T-Simpson Invite. They continued their impressive time in the GLVC with another top-3 finish at the Championships, two weeks ago.
