Bolivar, Mo. – The SBU men's basketball team began their season today in the Meyer Center as they hosted Trevecca Nazarene. A last minute comeback fell short as the Bearcats lost to the Trojans 73-79 moving to 0-1 on the season.
Sophomore
Drenin Dinkins picked up right where he left off scoring a game high 26 points off 10-14 from the field. This is the second highest scoring game of the sophomores young career. Graduate student
Graham Chenault showed off his style going a perfect 5-5 from beyond the arc, including an and-1 bucket. He was second on the team with 16 total points.
Southwest Baptist will return to the Meyer Center tomorrow evening as they host the Saints from Thomas More. Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30pm.
