Columbia, Mo. - The SBU Men's Cross-Country team traveled to Columbia, Mo. today to compete in the Bryan T. Simpson Invitational. The Men's team was able to secure 3rd place as they competed against several GLVC opponents including the University of Missouri-St. Louis, Missouri S&T, McKendree, and Truman State.
The men finished the day with 85 points behind GLVC opponent the University of Missouri-St. Louis who would have 54 points. The Bearcats were led by Trevor Maxville who would finish in 13th, followed by Evan Smith who would finish 4 seconds later in 14th place. Joe Kremp would finish in 16th, just 0.03 seconds behind former GLVC opponent and current D1 Lindenwood while Jackson Leeds would finish in 18th place.
Southwest Baptist looks to improve on their overall team score as they host the GLVC XC Championships on Saturday, October 21st.
