Bolivar, Mo. - The SBU women's cross-country team competed in the GLVC Championships this morning at the Bolivar Municipal Golf Course. The Bearcats took 3rd place out of the 14 conference teams. Ever since joining the GLVC in 2019 they have finished in the top-3 at every championship, marking them down as a top team in the conference.
It was senior Alexis Barber who led the way for the Bearcats coming in 12th place with a time of 22:23.63. Right behind her was senior Tessa Valdivia in 14th place with a time of 22:34.20. Rounding out the scoring for the Bearcats was Lainy Williams, Olivia Littleton, and Kiersten Potter coming in 22nd, 29th, and 32nd respectively. Those five finishes gave SBU 97 points in route to a 3rd place finish.
The Bearcats will return to action in two weeks where they will compete in the Midwest Regionals. This will take place on November 4th in Evansville, Indiana.
